So this year was my 4th animeNEXT. Feels so weird to say that. I have been cosplaying for 3 years now and this con marks it. animeNEXT 2010 was my first anime convention.
My Cosplay Lineup:
Friday- Older Malon/Cremia from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask
Friday Night - Stocking Anarchy(Cop Version) from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Saturday - Genderbend Tidus from Final Fantasy 10
Saturday Afternoon - Sailor Mars
Sunday - MYSELF!
This convention was great. I am so proud of my genderbend Tidus cosplay. The arm I made was the first time I ever made any type of armor for myself.
I was finally able to debut my Sailor Mars cosplay that had been sitting in my closet since October.
What I learned from this con:
-Wearing more than 1 cosplay a day is not my thing. I had planned on wearing Stocking again Saturday night but I was exhausted. I got up on Sunday wanting to still cosplay..but I was too lazy to even put up makeup by then.
-People know who Malon is! I thought nobody was going to recognize her, she ended up being really popular. I was so happy,
-Even though I had Dr. Scholl's feet cushions for high heels...wearing high heels for a cosplay is a nightmare. Sailor Mars was only at the con a few hours...if any.
All in all, I had a blast and will be attending again next year!
